Get up, stash, and rip downwind with the latest addition to the DUOTONE foiling board range – the Paradox SLS. Developed alongside the Stash 2026 parawing project, the Paradox SLS is purpose-built for riders chasing effortless take-offs, efficient pumping, and surf-style freedom on foil.

Designed around the needs of modern parawing and freefly riding, the Paradox SLS blends a pulled-in surf-inspired outline with a low rocker profile, step tail, and pronounced rail bevels to maximize efficiency during take-off and pumping. The result is a board that lifts onto foil earlier with less wing power while remaining highly agile and responsive once flying.

The reduced bottom surface area allows the board to release cleanly from the water while pumping, helping riders accelerate onto foil with minimal drag. Combined with the low rocker line and forward foot positioning, the Paradox SLS maintains efficient forward drive through bumps and transitions.

A recessed standing area and reduced deck thickness create an incredibly connected feel to the foil, improving leverage and turning precision while reducing swing weight for a more responsive ride. Whether carving swell, linking bumps, or flagging out the wing in clean downwind lines, the Paradox SLS delivers a highly surf-oriented feel.

Constructed in DUOTONE’s lightweight Vacuum Carbon construction with front footstrap insert compatibility, the Paradox SLS keeps overall weight to a minimum while maintaining excellent durability and stiffness.

Built primarily for parawinging and advanced freefly wing foiling, the Paradox SLS also excels as a foil assist board and even as a compact prone foil platform in smaller sizes.

PARADOX SLS vs. SKYBRID

Both the Paradox SLS and Skybrid occupy the modern mid-length foil board category and are designed to handle multiple disciplines including Wing Foiling, Parawing, Foil Assist, and Prone Foiling. However, each board serves a different riding style and priority.

Lower Rocker: The Paradox SLS planes and pumps onto foil earlier, ideal for downwind and parawing efficiency. The Skybrid offers more control at higher speeds thanks to its increased rocker and elevated front foot position.
Reduced Bottom Surface: Increased bevels, step tail, and narrower outline allow the Paradox SLS to release from the water easier during pumping. The Skybrid’s fuller outline provides greater stability and user-friendliness.
More Agile Feel: The Paradox SLS is the more maneuverable and surf-oriented option, designed for advanced riders prioritizing carving and flow.
Extended Lengths: Larger Paradox SLS sizes provide additional glide for early take-offs when parawinging. Smaller sizes remain compact for advanced riders and stronger wind conditions.
Lighter Construction: Built more similarly to the Crush and Midfish, the Paradox SLS focuses on lightweight performance and strapless riding. The Skybrid supports full strap setups and jumping.

PARADOX SLS vs. MIDFISH

The Midfish remains an excellent Foil Assist and high-wind parawing option thanks to its compact shape and excellent turning control. However, the Paradox SLS generates noticeably earlier lift and glide efficiency due to its longer, narrower outline and reduced wetted surface.

For riders looking to maximize early take-off performance while riding less powered-up and linking bumps more efficiently, the Paradox SLS delivers a clear advantage.
