What Duotone has to say:

FREERIDE / FREESTYLE / WAVE

The premium all-rounder combining elite Freeride, Big Air, and Freestyle performance with cutting-edge Aluula D/TX construction.

The Evo D/LAB is the absolute pinnacle of modern Freeride, Big Air and Freestyle performance. This incredibly refined high-performance Kite is built for riders demanding the very best across many disciplines, the Evo D/LAB blends explosive jumping ability, ultra-direct handling, dynamic loops, intuitive wave performance, and elite-level all-round versatility into the most advanced Evo we’ve ever created.

At the core of the Evo D/LAB lies the Aluula D/TX construction with three struts, the lightest and most advanced frame material setup in the Duotone lineup. Every movement feels sharper, faster, and more precise. The Evo D/LAB reacts instantly to rider input, delivering an unmatched level of connection and control whether boosting massive jumps, carving waves, looping aggressively, or pushing technical Freestyle manoeuvres. The Evo D/LAB excels particularly in modern High Performance Freeride and Big Air riding. The refined aerodynamic profile combined with the rigid Aluula D/TX frame generates explosive vertical lift, effortless takeoffs, and exceptional hangtime with smooth, controlled descents. Riders benefit from intuitive timing, massive airtime, and precise handling throughout every phase of the jump. One of the Evo D/LAB’s most impressive strengths is its enormous wind range and outstanding top-end stability. Refined profile tension and advanced frame rigidity keep the kite calm and predictable deep into overpowered conditions, delivering confidence-inspiring control even in strong and gusty winds. At the same time, the highly efficient Aluula D/TX airframe generates exceptional low-end power and early acceleration, allowing riders to plane earlier and maintain impressive efficiency in lighter conditions without compromising agility or responsiveness. Superior upwind performance further completes the package. The clean canopy profile and efficient forward flight characteristics allow riders to track upwind effortlessly while maintaining speed, line tension, and perfect positioning on the water. The Duotone Evo D/LAB is not built for a single discipline; it is designed for riders who want the absolute highest level of performance and fun everywhere. Freeride, Big Air, Freestyle, Wave, loops, this is the ultimate high-performance fun machine in the Duotone range.

Tech Specs:

6-Point Bridle - The new 6-Point Bridle System supports the frame of the kite, keeping the leading edge stable and compact. It ensures smooth and direct power transmission, expands the usable wind range, and maintains reliable stability even in strong gusts.
Kook Proof Connectors - The kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.
Anti Snag - The Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite. Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.
Micro Batten Construction - The Micro Batten Construction is 40% lighter compared to regular models and part of the overall concept to reduce weight and provides a cleaner and sleeker look of the kite without compromising durability or performance.
Micro Loop Connections - The Duotone Micro Loop Connection is 40% smaller than in regular models and part of the overall concept to reduce weight on the leading edge.
Fusion Strut 2.0 - The Fusion Strut 2.0 links the leading edge and struts with one single connection, delivering maximum stability, a precise and dynamic flying experience, and reliable performance even in rough conditions.
MOD 3S - The MOD 3S is evolutionary in kite canopy technology, offering enhanced strength and stability. This innovative material provides three times the tear resistance and significantly less stretch compared to previous generations, ensuring that your kite performs at its peak in even the most demanding conditions.
Single Stitch Trailing Edge - The Single Stitch Trailing Edge is a refined design feature that minimizes weight and reduces flutter, enhancing the kite’s overall durability and performance. By streamlining the construction, we've achieved a cleaner, more aerodynamic profile that not only improves efficiency but also extends the kite's lifespan.
Trinity TX - Teijin is the world’s leading supplier of polyester fabrics and sail materials to marine sports. The combined creative power of Duotone Kiteboarding saw the formulation of TRINITY TX. Exclusive to Duotone Kiteboarding, TRINITY TX is a 3x2 canopy material, which has proven to be far superior to other canopy materials in terms of durability and dynamic performance. The 3x2 yarn combination has proven to be the best solution in performance as well as durability, overall superior to any 2x2 or 4x4 yarn solutions. TRINITY TX. Made to stand the test of time.
High-Pressure Closing & Intersegment Seam - The High-Pressure Closing and Intersegment Seam Technology ensures that our kites maintain optimal shape and integrity, even under extreme pressure. This advanced construction technique enhances the durability and performance of the kite by securely sealing the segments together, preventing deformation and ensuring consistent airflow.
Leading Edge Intersegment Seam Construction - The Leading Edge Intersegment Seam Construction increases the overall strength, stiffness, and direct flight stability of the airframe. Additional this is the lightest construction you can create for a kite.
Aluula D/TX Frame Construction - The new Aluula D/TX has been developed together with Duotone and combines low weight with exceptional stiffness. The result is a kite frame that performs in light wind conditions just as impressively as in Big Air models. For designers the material opens up new freedom in tuning flex, torsion and stiffness, enabling even more precise and performance driven concepts.
