Learning to fly

When learning to ride, please ensure that you’re always wearing appropriate safety gear, including a personal flotation device (PFD) and helmet. Ensure you’re in a suitable riding location with at least 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water depth and smooth conditions. Please also familiarize yourself with local laws and licensing.

How to Fliteboard - Video Guide

We recommend learning to eFoil with a qualified instructor. Book an eFoil experience here.

Please refer to the video below to learn the proper technique and to review riding safety information.

This step by step tutorial will get you up and foiling on Fliteboard. Watch and learn about eFoil safety, preparing the board, getting the motor going to move across the water, kneeling, standing and foiling. 4x Kitesurfing World Champion Keahi De Aboitiz tells you everything you need to know.

IMPORTANT:

  • FLITEBOARD IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RIDING BREAKING WAVES IN THE SURF ZONE. RIDERS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.
  • FLITEBOARD SHOULD NEVER BE RIDDEN NEAR OTHER WATER USERS (INCLUDING SWIMMERS AND SURFERS) OR OFFSHORE FROM SWIMMERS AND SURFERS (IN CASE FLITEBOARD IS PUSHED TOWARDS SHORE IN A WAVE).
  • FLITEBOARDING CAN BE EASY WHEN PROPER TECHNIQUE IS APPLIED.
  • INCORRECT TECHNIQUE CAN RESULT IN INJURY OR DAMAGE.
