2026 CORE NXS Kite
One kite for freeride, waves, foiling, and everything between.
The CORE NXS is a high-performance all-around kite created for riders who refuse to commit to a single discipline. Whether you ride a twintip, surfboard, or hydrofoil, the NXS delivers a balanced combination of smooth power, predictable control, responsive handling, drift, jumping performance, and easy relaunch.
Developed on a completely new platform, the NXS brings together selected characteristics from the CORE Nexus, Pace, Section, and Xlite. The result is a distinct model designed to perform where freeride, wave riding, and foiling overlap.
Familiar Character with More Performance
The NXS retains the playful and intuitive feel riders expect from an all-around CORE kite while delivering noticeably stronger boosting performance than the Nexus. It produces reliable lift, useful hangtime, controlled kiteloops, and smooth landings without becoming overly aggressive or demanding.
Compared with the more performance-focused Pace, the NXS offers greater agility, smoother power delivery, and improved drift. This makes it easier to manage on a surfboard, more balanced while foiling, and more forgiving when the wind becomes gusty or inconsistent.
Freeride Performance
The moderate-aspect three-strut platform provides direct but predictable steering with a clearly defined bar feel. The NXS supports relaxed cruising, progression, hooked-in freestyle, boosting, and smooth kiteloops while remaining easy to place throughout the wind window.
Power builds progressively rather than arriving through harsh spikes, giving the rider greater control during takeoff, transitions, loops, and landings.
Wave Riding and Drift
The NXS incorporates a surf-oriented profile inspired by the CORE Section. Smooth power delivery allows the rider to concentrate on the wave rather than constantly managing the kite.
Its lightweight construction, stable fixed bridle, and responsive wingtips help the kite drift cleanly while riding down the line. The NXS remains predictable through bottom turns, cutbacks, strapless transitions, and changing apparent-wind angles.
Foil Control
Reduced frame weight and balanced flight characteristics make the NXS an excellent kite-foiling option. It remains stable when the lines unload, drifts efficiently through swell, and responds immediately when power is needed for takeoff, transitions, or recovery.
The smooth power delivery is especially useful on foil, where abrupt surges can quickly overpower the rider or disrupt the board’s pitch.

ExoTex 3 Leading Edge
The leading edge uses CORE’s ExoTex 3 high-performance Dacron for increased torsional stiffness and shape stability. This creates more precise steering response and controlled flight under heavy load or in gusty conditions.
ExoTex Light Struts
Lightweight ExoTex struts reduce the kite’s overall mass, helping improve steering speed, drift, responsiveness, and the free-moving feel required for waves and foiling.
CoreTex 2 Triple-Ripstop Canopy
The CoreTex 2 canopy combines high tear resistance with low stretch. It helps preserve a clean canopy profile and consistent power delivery throughout the kite’s wind range and service life.
Radical Reaction Tips
The refined wingtip geometry translates steering input quickly without making the kite nervous or unpredictable. Wider tips support tight turns, controlled loops, improved drift, and precise kite placement.
Fixed Tectanium Bridle
The fixed bridle maintains consistent front-line tension and stable positioning within the wind window. It reduces the likelihood of front stalls and provides forgiving, predictable handling through waves, gusts, and rider errors.
HyperFlow Inflation System
Large internal hoses and strut connections increase airflow for faster inflation and deflation. The permanently integrated Speed Valve uses a direct bayonet-style pump-hose connection for clean and efficient setup.

Sizes and Wind Ranges
| Kite Size | Manufacturer Wind Range |
|---|---|
| 5m | 22–42 knots |
| 6m | 20–38 knots |
| 7m | 17–35 knots |
| 8m | 15–33 knots |
| 9m | 13–30 knots |
| 10m | 12–28 knots |
| 11m | 11–26 knots |
| 12m | 10–24 knots |
| 13.5m | 9–22 knots |
Published wind ranges are general manufacturer guidance. Appropriate sizing also depends on rider weight, board type, water conditions, riding discipline, experience, and local wind quality.
Control-Bar Compatibility
The CORE NXS requires a compatible CORE Sensor 4-generation control bar equipped with the SFS+ single-front-line safety system.
CORE specifically warns that the NXS must not be used with the Sensor 3S or older Sensor control bars. Those earlier safety systems may not provide complete depower with the NXS fixed bridle.
Always confirm the exact bar model, safety system, line condition, line split, and equal line lengths before launching.
