Integrated Carbon Mast Installation
Installing your Armstrong Integrated Mast Motor System is quick and straightforward. Just follow these steps to get set up right and ready to ride.
Before you start, make sure you have everything on hand.
What You’ll Need:
- Armstrong Carbon Integrated Mast
- Foil Drive Motor System (V2)
- Foil Drive Grease
- All included mounting hardware
- T30 Torx Tool (included)

Puck Hardware
(4x) M4 10mm 316 Dome Head Screw
(1x) M5 52mm Titanium CSK Screw
(1x) M5 20mm Titanium Barrel Nut
Mast Top Hardware
(2x) M8 16mm 316 Titanium Coating CSK Screw (T40 torx head)
Mast Bottom Hardware
(3x) M6 28.5mm CSK Screw
(1x) M6 Titanium Barrel Nut

(3x) M4 Bolts

Integrated Carbon Mast Installation:
Step 1 – Prepare the Motor
Apply a thin layer of Foil Drive Grease around the outside of the plug. Do not grease the inside.
Step 2 – Check the Red O-Ring
Verify that the red O-ring is properly installed on the puck to ensure a waterproof seal.
Step 3 – Remove the M5 Split Bolt
Remove the (1x) M5 52mm Titanium CSK Screw and (1x) M5 20mm Titanium Barrel Nut

Step 4 – Gently Remove the Puck
Carefully pull the puck out of the mast. Do not yank on the cables; keep it gentle.
Step 5 – Bolt Puck to Motor
Use the (4x) M4 10mm 316 Dome Head Screws to attach the puck securely to the motor.
Step 6 – Insert Motor + Puck into Mast
Slide the puck and motor assembly back into the mast. Double-check cable positioning as you go.

Step 7 – Tighten the Split Bolt
Secure the motor assembly in the mast by tightening the M5 52mm Ti CSK Screw and M5 20mm Ti Barrel Nut.
Step 8 – Fit Cable to Electronics Box
Blue O-Ring MUST be clean, well lubricated and in place. Use Foil Drive Grease to lubricate O-Ring if needed, then plug in the cable and install the bolts.
Step 9 – Secure Mast to Electronics Box
Using the (2x) M8 16mm 316 Ti Coating CSK Screw (T40 torx head), secure the mast to the electronics box.

Please Note:
Only V2 Foil Drive motors are compatible with Armstrong Integrated Masts. These masts do not work with Gen1 Foil Drive Assist or Assist PLUS systems. Both High Power and Standard V2 motors are supported, along with two-blade or three-blade props.
