CORE SLC Foil Fuselage
Hydrodynamic, efficient, lightweight, and engineered specifically for the original CORE SLC foil system.
The CORE SLC Fuselage is precision CNC-milled from anodized 6063 aluminum to create a stiff, durable, and streamlined connection between the SLC mast, front wing, and stabilizer.
Rounded edges and carefully shaped transitions help water flow smoothly across the fuselage and adjoining foil components. The enlarged front-wing mounting surface improves torsional stiffness, reduces unwanted movement under load, and creates a more direct connection between rider input and foil response.
Hydrodynamic Profile
The SLC Fuselage is shaped to minimize unnecessary drag through the water. Smooth, rounded edges improve flow around the front wing and stabilizer, while the upper concave behind the mast helps water release cleanly from the fuselage.
The wing and stabilizer mounting angles are optimized for efficient cruising, helping the foil maintain glide through turns, transitions, and pumping movements.
Rigid Front-Wing Connection
A broad geometric connection surface supports the front wing across a larger area. This helps reduce twisting between the wing and fuselage and improves stiffness when carving, accelerating, or riding through changing water pressure.
The area surrounding the mast connection is also reinforced and optimized to minimize torsional movement through the center of the foil system.
CNC-Milled 6063 Aluminum
The fuselage is precision-machined from anodized 6063 aluminum for a reliable combination of strength, relatively low weight, and corrosion resistance.
The anodized finish helps protect the aluminum during regular saltwater use, but the fuselage should still be rinsed with fresh water and separated from other foil components periodically to reduce corrosion and hardware seizure.
Key Features
- Designed specifically for the original CORE SLC foil system
- Precision CNC-milled construction
- Anodized 6063 aluminum
- Rounded edges improve water flow
- Streamlined hydrodynamic profile
- Large front-wing connection surface
- Reduced wing twist and increased torsional stiffness
- Reinforced mast-connection area
- Top concave behind the mast improves water release
- Optimized wing angles support efficient cruising and glide
- Compatible equal-length Torx mounting screws simplify servicing
Compatibility
This fuselage is intended for the original CORE SLC foil platform.
Compatible SLC components include:
- CORE SLC 1000 cm² Front Wing
- CORE SLC 1250 cm² Front Wing
- CORE SLC Stabilizer
- CORE SLC 71 cm Mast
- CORE SLC 92 cm Mast
- CORE SLC Mastbase and associated SLC foil hardware
Do not assume compatibility with CORE CFS components. The newer CORE Compatible Foil System uses a separate component platform with different fuselages, wings, stabilizers, and mast options.
Confirm the complete foil system and mounting interface before ordering replacement parts.
What’s Included
- One CORE SLC Foil Fuselage
Mounting screws, front wing, stabilizer, mast, mastbase, covers, tools, and other foil components are not confirmed as included unless specifically shown or stated.
Assembly and Maintenance
- Inspect all mounting surfaces and threaded holes before assembly.
- Remove sand, salt, and debris before connecting the wings or mast.
- Use only the correct CORE-specified Torx screws and tools.
- Apply suitable marine anti-corrosion compound to aluminum and stainless-steel connections when recommended.
- Tighten all screws evenly and to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
- Do not overtighten or continue using hardware with damaged Torx heads or threads.
- Rinse the complete foil with fresh water after saltwater use.
- Disassemble the foil periodically to prevent corrosion and seized hardware.
- Inspect the fuselage for cracks, bending, corrosion, damaged threads, or excessive wear before riding.
Important Compatibility Notice
The CORE SLC system is an earlier foil platform and should not be confused with the current CORE CFS range. Contact Houston Kiteboarding before ordering if you are uncertain which CORE foil generation you own.
