Season opener and Winds ports Party

This is a low-key event hosted by the Houston Kiteboard Club and Houston Kiteboarding. Event is free for club members but all others will need to pay the daily rate or become club members.  There will be on-site camping, live music, night ride, bon-fire, food trucks, and lots of kite, kitefoil, wing, and riding discussions. We will have Fred Hope and Neil Hutchinson from Slingshot/Ride Engine, Mike Duhaime from North/Mystic, Daniel Ware from Cabrinha/Dakine, and Taylor Meehan from Duotone/Fanatic Wing. We will have a foil clinic and tech talk with Fred on the new Slingshot Phantasm gear as well as Story telling from Neil Hutchinson about crossing from Key west to Cuba on kites to break the long distance world record in 2001.

Glow sticks are provided but riders are encouraged to bring their own unique night riding gear. 


Photo and video contest
Calling all photographers, drone pilots, video nuts, and others with mad phone skills!!  Each person entering the contest will submit 25 photos to a dropbox folder for judging from the event.  The there will also be a best edited video category (1-3 minute length), only one video entry per person.  Winners will be announced the following week on Friday, 5th of May. Sign up at the rental/lesson center to get information

Foil Clinic and Tech talk with Fred Hope
Fred is the freeride Kitefoil expert but he is also amazing on the wingfoil and in the waves.  He will be available for a general tech talk about the phantasm lineup as well as kitefoil and wingfoil specifically.  This clinic is free but please sign up so we know how many will be there.  Sign up here.
